In hypnotherapy we not only give positive suggestions to the subconscious mind; but also hold a dialogue with the it.  This dialogue allows you to reframe your subconscious perceptions, altering your predisposition to respond in old familiar patterns to the circumstances of life.
You have an opportunity to create these new, positive, beneficial perceptions which allow you to respond to the circumstances of life in a new and more productive way.

You are always in control during hypnotherapy, you are not asleep, you are not unconscious - you are simply in a relaxed state of heightened awareness.
