Hypnosis is defined as:

a) an education communication process to a person’s mind that allows his/her conscious and sub conscious mind to receive the same message.
b) the bypass of the analytical filters of the conscious mind to deliver suggestions to the conscious mind that will be accepted and initiate positive change.

You may find it interesting that all hypnosis is self hypnosis. In order for change or transformation to occur you must accept the positive suggestions given to you.
